How quick your site loads has been proven to have an affect on your conversions. Amazon concluded that 1 second of loading time caused them to loose $1.6 Billion in sales. We believe that same philosophy can be applied to Bigcommerce stores and we have worked very hard to minimize the loading time. The biggest challenge was the full page slider. With every slide added to the front page the loading time was increased. We searched for a way to allow store owners the latitude to add marketing slides without increasing loading times. We accomplished this by loading the first slide only and adding the other slides after the page is loaded.
